This policy explains what information Pazuju (pazuju.com) collects when you visit the site or play the puzzles, how it's used, and the choices you have. Pazuju doesn't ask for your name, email address, or a password to play.
Information we collect
- Game progress and scores. When you play, the site signs you in anonymously through Google Firebase. That assigns your browser a random ID with no personal details attached. Your puzzle progress, solve times, and daily streak are stored under that ID so you can resume where you left off.
- Nickname. If you choose a nickname, it's saved with your progress and shown next to your times on the public leaderboard for each puzzle. Please don't use your real full name or any personal information as a nickname. If you don't set one, you appear as "Anonymous."
- Data stored on your device. The site uses your browser's local storage to keep small game settings, like how many free number checks you've used. It also caches site files so pages load faster and work offline.
- Usage data. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically receive standard technical information. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how long you stay.
How we use information
- To run the game, save your progress, and show leaderboards and streaks
- To understand how the site is used and improve it
- To show advertising that helps keep Pazuju free
We don't sell your personal information.
Advertising and cookies
Pazuju uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other websites. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you do, ads may be less relevant to you, and your saved game progress on that browser may be lost.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site, for example which pages are popular and how many people play each day. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects usage data as described above. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Service providers
These companies handle data on our behalf, under their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase for anonymous sign-in, game progress, and leaderboards
- Google AdSense for advertising
- Google Analytics for site usage statistics
- GitHub Pages for website hosting
- Google Fonts for the site's typeface
See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles data.
Data retention and deletion
Game progress, nicknames, and leaderboard times are kept for as long as the site runs, so that streaks and leaderboards stay accurate. Because sign-in is anonymous, we can't connect this data to you unless you tell us your nickname. To have your nickname or other data removed, email us at the address below with the nickname you used and the dates you played.
Children's privacy
Pazuju is a general-audience site and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to how it's used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
